On 9 October, 2003 the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice Women PeaceMakers Program was honored to have Voices of Women present their acclaimed production of "Reflections on War and Peace."

120 guests attended the inaugural IPJ theater performance of
"Reflections on War and Peace" presented by Voices of Women on
October 9, 2003. $1,000 was raised for the Nepal Women's Project,
sponsored by the IPJ. This photo shows the four women peacemakers
who are in residence at the IPJ, together with members of the cast.

Directed by Rosina Reynolds, the performance included some of San Diego's most exciting theater artists presenting selections from Shakespeare, Bob Dylan, Eli Wiesel, Eleanor Roosevelt, and others.

The production was held at The Peace & Justice Theatre, Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice, University of San Diego, on October 9, 2003. After the performance, there were brief comments from four visiting women peacemakers from Korea, Israel, Kyrgyzstan and Somalia. An audience discussion followed the readings.

Voices of Women donated net proceeds from this event to the IPJ Nepal Project for women's programs.
