A gathering was held at the Mission Valley Library, lead by Board Director Carol Clarke, who has, to date with her consortium of knitters, shipped 6,000+ baby beanies to developing countries. Forty-five women attended to learn how to make the beanies and an inspirational morning was enjoyed by all. The Union Tribune interviewed Clarke prior to the event, which raised awareness about VOW and gained new supporters for our organization.
