March 29, 2006, Voices of Women, in collaboration with the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice at USD presented the documentary "Afghanistan Unveiled" to a capacity audience in the IPJ Auditorium.

Huma Ahmed-Ghosh, Ph.D. is Associate Professor, Department of Women's Studies & Center for Islamic Arabic Studies, SDSU. For several years she has been researching the role of women in Afghanistan. Dr. Ahmed-Ghosh returned this week from a trip to Kabul.

Flouran Wali is a native of Afghanistan and graduate of UCSD. For the past three years, Ms. Wali has lived in Afghanistan, working for Relief International & the Afghan Women's and Livelihood Program.

At the conclusion of the program, $1,600.00 was raised for: Humanitarian Assistance for the Women and Children of Afghanistan (HAWCA).
