Discussion was held at the La Jolla-Florence Riford Library, 7555 Draper Avenue, La Jolla, CA 92037, from 6:00-8:00 pm.

Dr. Dee Aker, Deputy Director of the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice, spoke on Women in Politics and Peacemaking in Nepal. Dr. Aker is Director of the Nepal Project.

Anne Hoiberg, Director of Women's Equity Council and past President of United Nations Association of San Diego, shared her experiences in Iraq meeting with Iraqi women living under U.S. occupation.

Lilia Velasquez, International Immigration Lawyer who for more than 20 years has represented trafficked women and children, discussed her recent fact-finding mission to Afghanistan.

Jenni Prisk, President of Voices of Women, moderated the Roundtable Discussion.
