October 20, 2011 Voices of Women celebrated its 10th anniversary at the organization's annual Beyond Borders Benefit.

Eighty people attended the benefit dinner at the Bali Hai on Shelter Island.  Guests bid on silent auction items during pre-dinner cocktails.  After dinner, keynote speakers Jeri-Ann and Gary Jacobs inspired guests with their work with High Tech High and JITLI (Jacobs International Team Leadership Institute) through which Jewish and Arab youth find solutions to their differences.  Dorcas House was the recipient of VOW's Service Award, and a check for $1000.  This nonprofit organization shelters youth whose parents and guardians are imprisoned in Tijuana.
