On August 6, 2003, Founder and Executive Director of Foundation for Women, Deborah Lindholm, presented "Women and Microcredit" to VOW members and guests.

Microcredit programs – small business loans for the poorest of the poor – benefit not just the recipient, but the entire community. Deborah Lindholm's Foundation for Women is committed to facilitating the opening of a microcredit bank every year. To date, they have opened five banks in Tamil Nadu, India. FFW is also donating much-needed funds to school children in Tamil Nadu, to buy books and school supplies. Voices of Women raised $350.00 for this program. www.foundationforwomen.org
